Definition Programs that accept and, where possible, attempt to resolve complaints regarding the product quality or business practices of companies that manufacture or sell burglar alarms, alarm systems or other protective devices; or offer other home security services. Included are complaints regarding performance failures, system inadequacy, breakdowns in police notification procedures, problems with on-site response by alarm company employees, fee disputes, misrepresentation, unethical or improper conduct of personnel and other similar problems.
