Definition Programs that maintain and make available to authorized individuals autopsy reports, photographs, video recordings and other related autopsy records. An autopsy is a post-mortem examination of a body, generally conducted by the coroner's office, to determine the cause of death or the character and extent of changes produced by disease. In most jurisdictions, autopsy records are considered confidential and cannot be disclosed to the media or the general public.
