Definition Programs that provide organized opportunities for individuals to pursue hobbies which involve painting, ceramics, crafts and other art forms in cooperation with others who have the same interests, often through the medium of a club or society which is under the leadership of people who are knowledgeable or skilled in the area. Some arts and crafts clubs may also provide space for activities, provide access to discounts on materials and tools, sponsor exhibits or sales of art or craft pieces created by members, publish a newsletter or provide access to a library of resources about the subject. Included are Internet-based virtual clubs, WebRings devoted to the subject and clubs where members meet face-to-face.
