Definition | Vocational rehabilitation programs and other similar organizations that are actively seeking individuals who are willing, on a voluntary basis without remuneration, to serve as job coaches for people with developmental disabilities. Job coaches accompany clients to their place of employment and work side-by-side with the individuals providing advocacy with the employer and other employees, training in basic job skills and work-related behaviors, assistance with specific tasks as needed and whatever other initial or ongoing support is required to ensure that the individual retains competitive employment. |
